Dialog Mate

DialogMate provides 4 windows functionalities:
1. Minimize window to floating icon
2. Minimize window to system tray
3. Make window 'on top'
4. Favorites in Open/Save dialog
The first 3 functionalities are associated with all top-level windows and can be reached from the system menu, i.e. menu that appears on right click on windows title bar. Moreover, the first two functionalities also have short-cuts: right click on minimize and maximize button, respectively. Shortcuts exists because it may happens that some window do not show system menu. The last listed functionality helps with every day Open/Save dialogs usage.

Cathy

An extremly small, very fast and easy to use media cataloging tool. You can use it to index files stored on removable media (CD-ROMs, LS120, Iomega Zip and Jaz disks, or even diskettes), hard disks or net drives, and create searchable catalogs that can be used without having access to original media. Searching capabilities are based on file name, date and size. Additional features include filtering options, search duplicates or singles, customizable date format, etc. Found files can be opened (executed) or deleted directly, if they are present. Drag&drop support. Directory trees, MP3 album/song lists can be printed, disk space usage can be investigated. Single file executable, no install needed.

PDFproducer

PDFproducer is a nice little utility which converts plain text into PDF documents. The benefit of this program is that it does not require Acrobat to be installed on the system. It means that it does not uses any component of acrobat to produce PDF files. As it is freeware you don't have to pay anything(but thanks) for producing PDF documents. Produce PDF files without having Acrobat. You can now change the page size also. It offers 90, 180, 260 and 360 degrees of rotation. It also offers a choice of 3 fonts which you can use in your PDF documents. Not to mention 3 types of predefined paper sizes. These all features make PDFproducer a nice little tool for quick PDF production. Have fun creating PDF files!!! Note: This program requires VB6 runtime files installed on the system.

Switch Off

MyUninstaller

MyUninstaller is an alternative utility to the standard Add/Remove applet of Windows operating system. It displays the list of all installed application, and allows you to uninstall an application, delete an uninstall entry, and save the list of all installed applications into a text file or HTML file. MyUninstaller also provides additional information for most installed applications that the standard Add/Remove applet doesn't display: product name, company, version, uninstall string, installation folder and more.

MemTest

MemTest is a RAM reliability tester. It evaluates the ability of your computer's memory to store and retrieve data. A correctly functioning computer should be able to do both these tasks with 100% accuracy day in and day out. A computer that fails these tests, perhaps because of old hardware, damaged hardware, or poorly configured hardware, will be less stable and crash more often. Even worse, it will become even less stable over time as corrupted data is written to your hard disk.
By running MemTest, you can ensure that your computer's RAM is correctly functioning. This is a good thing to check whenever you buy a new computer, install new ram, or change the configuration of your machine (for instance, to overclock it). If you are the sort of user who likes to push the performance of your machine to the edge, relying upon whether your machine will boot after your new BIOS tweaks is a poor way to determine the safety of your new settings. Use MemTest as a true test of stability.

DBXtract

OE5 and OE6 have a proprietary binary format that makes archiving individual messages difficult. In addition, a number of people have indicated that their message folders have become corrupted and OE can not read them. Consequently, they have lost all the messages in that folder.
DBXtract.exe extracts all mail and news messages from individual dbx files. After extracting the messages one can drag them from a Windows Explorer folder into an Outlook Express mail folder. Program requires the existence of the VB6 runtime dll, msvbvm60.dll.
IMPORTANT: While the program only reads the dbx files, it is important that OE is closed when the program is in use.

Quick Folders

This utility keeps track of most recently used folders in file dialogs. Most of the Windows applications use system-supplied dialog boxes when there's a need to know the name of the file being opened or saved. When your folder tree has a lot of nested subfolders then it may take a long time to navigate to the necessary folder where your file should be located. Quick Folders adds a small button (with a thunder glyph on in) to these dialogs which give you access to the menu of the most recently used folders. Every time you open or save file using common file dialog, the location of the file is added to the top of the list. Later you can quickly navigate to any stored folder by just selecting its path from the menu.
